Hey, I'm making a pizza oven for a workshop project and I was wondering what is a good, cheap firebrick to use as my slate peice to keep the heat in and for the walls if possible?

Download the pompeii oven plans on the FB site and read the brick primer on page 69. Fire bricks usually cost between 1-2 dollars a piece. You can go the craigslist way and it could be free.

A brick manufacturer in NSW said that he had two types of firebricks and I checked they were cheaper than buying them in Tassie, I'll post a link to their website when I find it again I have it round here somewhere...
