Hey Shark,
Good vid your oven looks great I am in the process of building a WFO in Coffs Harbour NSW Mid North Coast
Can I ask are they standard size bricks you used? if so how many did you use? I have decided to use fire bricks and because they are expensive I dont want to buy more than I need I am building a 42 inch WFO, is you WFO 42 inch inside or outside?
Thanks and Regards Doug

42 inch is inside diameter, standard plans from forno bravo
they are 2nd hand fire bricks same size as regular house bricks
I used nearly 130 bricks in 1/2. that was sides dome and arch only not floor. The floor is 14 (300mm x 300mm) fire brick tiles cut to size b4 adding sides

Shark
Thanks for your reply, you have me thinking about the floor I was going to use standard fire bricks but the tiles you mentioned what thickness are they and are they nice and flat? I assume you layed them on a bed of fireclay to bed them in.

yes layed on a mix of 50/50 sand and fireclay

(make fireclay dust) ? put off cuts in cement mixer and mix they put your music on loud as mixer mixing bricks is very loud.

The Tiles are 2 sizes 38mm thick or 50mm thick, I chose the 50mm.

once layed on bed and sides are fixed in angle grind any high spots on joins

Confirmed on the blocking.

"This video contains content from INgrooves, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

If you notice, it says 'country' and Karangi Dude' is from Australia.
