Free firebricks....

I've got about 12 left over, standard 75mm I think although 1 may be 65mm.

I'm in Mansfield and work in Northampton, so I can drop them to you if its on the way, or you can pick them up !

No point in posting them - 48kg is about £40 to post, and they aint worth that !!

Hi Peter,

I have just started with the foundation of my oven. We are living down in Bournemouth so it is a bit too far to drive up to Nottingham. But maybe you could let me know where you bought the firebricks in the first place? I have contacted handsworth-refractories, they quoted £2.00 per brick and £1.00 per kilo fire cement. Did you get them from somewhere cheaper?

ordered my fire brick from middland refractories today. They charge 1.05 per brick. They also have fireclay and insulation blankets.

hope to get some good weather soon.
