Default Hearth floor

hello out there

i am looking for some answers for a mud furnace i am building.

does anyone know of a good recipe for pouring a hearth floor? this mud furnace is going to be used to heat up rocks for heating up rocks. it can get pretty hot and the floor will take lots of abuse from a pitch fork, some heavy good-sized rocks, and some oxygen-rich firings.

i built one before and the floor worked out well, but i cannot find my notes on mixture. i know it had fire clay, masonry cement, sand, and something else. that worked pretty well. it has some cracking after a few years of heavy usage. still works, and has some years to go with that slab.

this floor is ready for the next slab. i have masonry cement, sand, fire clay, and some muscles ready for the job. thank you.
