Default The Old Spot -- Dursley, UK

We made it to the Old Spot in Dursley -- what a great spot (hah hah) for a pint. Thanks for the lead on that one.

I get it now. The Old Spot is a breed of pig that is a specialty in Gloucester. That evening, the kids had some of old spot -- excellent sausages and mash at the Bell, a nice pub on the green in Frampton on Severn. We just missed a local cricket match, as the team was away that evening -- the players came filtering back into town throughout the evening.

There is even a local Frampton farm (complete with tours) that breeds Old Spots.

James

James, Dursley is about 25 miles north of here.

'Gloucester Old Spot' is a very familiar name in sausages around here!

Best.
