| Now if I were Dave I'd do you a top ten, thereby shamelessly padding my number of posts... But I'm not, so I'll just do a list. Bulding a pizza oven has been a life-altering experience. These are some of the things it has changed in my life: - I don't like going to pizza restaurants anymore. - I bake all my own bread. - I grow my own yeast. - I spend a lot more time on the internet. - I put my head inside all the ovens I come accross. - When I cook in my regular oven, I invariably forget to turn it off again... - I'm putting on weight. - I'm learning new words on a daily basis. Really usefull ones too, like bulut, dinkum and autolyse. So, what has your oven changed in your life? |

| Ditto for these ( and I haven't even started my build - I don't like going to pizza restaurants anymore. - I bake all my own bread. - I put my head inside all the ovens I come accross. - I'm putting on weight. - I'm learning new words on a daily basis. Really usefull ones too, like bulut, dinkum and autolyse. Also I bore everyone within earshot with interesting and tecnical facts about pizza ovens and pizza. My side yard is full of construction materials I may be banned from all "wood-fired" or "brick-oven" pizza joints due to my persistent questions and demands to peek into their ovens. I dream of pizza and pizza ovens

| Geeze Frances, I hope its not a yeast infection! I'm thinking about this one. I'll probably post many times before I'm done. Mostly, the one that comes to mind is that I'm always searching for more firewood. Also, I spend a lot more time on this forum (I know, too much, huh?) More later, I'm sure!

| Hmmmm, like George, there are a lot of thoughts here...mostly good too! I picked up an affliction called "FBO" that alternates with my "WFO separation anxiety disorder.".... I take lots of digital pictures before the friends get to eat.... I look at how to convert recipe's to WFO versions I learned how to crop post pictures more easily I feel like I have international internet friends I started an FB travelog on the Costa Blanca I fantasize about the big green truck I see chimneys everywhere I go I want to have a portable oven I preach more paella gospel I inhale more smoke I pick up some OZ I light more fires eat well and I still wonder what I'm going to be when I grow up.....

| I haven't completed my WFO yet, but I am always noticing brickwork now. I notice it in TV shows, commercials etc.. When ever my wife drives, I am always telling her, "Wait, go back, check out that arch. Or, "Man I wish they would knock that building down so I can have some of those rustic looking bricks for my oven." |

| Ain't that the truth.....happens with all sorts of things. Many moons ago, I picked up a number of books by Ken Kern....stuff like Owner Built Housing, Stone Masonry, Fireplaces and Chimenys, etc......but ever since I've been a student and critic of stonework....arches and domes are particularly cool.
