| Does anyone know of any service that carries parcels between the USA and Switzerland (or anywhere else) for a payable price? I want this really cool weathervane you see, but the parcel will weigh about 16 pounds and measures more than the 108" maximum in circumferance that USPS now allows. FedEx, UPS and DHL would all charge around 500 USD (!). Can anyone think of any other options? Heck, for that money I could virtually fly there and collect the darn thing! |

| $500.00 - ouch! It's not the weight right, it's the size? Can it be disassembled? Les...

| UPS ships documents intercontinentally for 14 bucks. I can't imagine $500 for 16 LBS. Where are you considering buying it from? Perhaps one of us can help you out.

| Its this one here: Medieval dragon COPPER WEATHERVANE antiqued w mount - eBay (item 170164703968 end time Feb-28-08 19:27:03 PST) They used to have a service which would ship this for around 100 USD, but apparently they very recently changed it all. Seems there is now no way to send large packages out of the US. Probably called it "improving customer service". Huh! When I think of all the cool things I got via ebay over the years, it just makes me want to spit! Seriously, if anyone could help in any way, I'd be very greatful! Else I'll just have to think of something else.... Go for a smaller one maybe . |
