| I have taken the 1st step and ordered some books on buiding pizza/bread ovens. I have been looking at a lot of in process builds from a number of you and I have a question. (Before I look it up in the books) A lot of you install the perlite concrete as the 1st layer. I know that perlite AKA light weight concrete AKA insulating concrete, is not a structural concrete. Why would you install this first and not as the top layer under the refractory brick? |
