 Free Perlite ??? For those near Portland Oregon, this add is on Craig's List. Free Perlite Stone - 100,000 lbs Some manufacture has a spare 100,000 pounds (45,454 kg) of perlite, they are apparently giving away! Comes in 1,000 bags they will load with a fork lift... The price is right, but... FYI JED  |

| Re: Free Perlite ??? That's a great deal, too bad our roads are ice covered and we are expecting even more snow and a bit of wind this weekend. They say 1000 lb bag minimum, (wiki says 30 to 150 kgs per cubic meter density so there's a huge variance possible) They are probably giving it away in what we know as a "supersack" approx 4 ft x 4ft x 4ft. That's a great deal for someone close who is building and has a garden. If it were summer I'd be on the road in spite of the six hour drive one way. Wiley |
