 Barnacle soup and fried sparrows! Since there is much talk about foods, I was wondering it would be interesting to hear from any strange and exotic dishes that any of you have tried in the past. Well, during our stay in Kagoshima prefecture in one of the hotels that we stayed they served a soybean paste based soup with barnacles which they nicknamed "turtles feet"! In a scale from 1-10 I gave it a "4"! Fried Sparrows are still being served in some yakitori restaurants, crunchy and similar in taste to quails they go down well with a mug of Ebisu beer! ...And recently" botan nave #which is wild boar stew, in my scale I gave it a"10" for flavor and presentation. oyasumi!
