Thanks Jim, We can control size, so I have set the limit to 500K, which is pretty big. I posted a series of 480x360 photos that were in the 140k range. 640x480 images will fit easily, and we will see above that. Working the brick ovens, bread and pizza -- which are pretty subtle items, I think the bigger sizes will definitely help. James Last edited by james : 11-26-2006 at 08:48 PM.

Hi James, I tried to post an image in the vent section. I chose "upload from a url" and I got this error message after pressing upload: Sorry, DrakeRemoray: Bad Open - Cannot Open the images Directory for Writing Sounds like a permissions issue... Drake

Hey Drew, Could you do me a favor? Can you try "load from computer" first, while I look into permissions for "upload from URL link". Are you trying to load a photo that's already on a different web site? We can at least check that you can upload a photo from your computer. James

Hi James, I was able to upload from my computer, but only a reduced image. Better than the limit from before, but my camera takes very large images, so I will still have to size them if I use this gallery feature. I usually size them and upload them to another personal site, so being able to upload from a url would be helpful. Thanks, Drake

Drew, I have upped the image size to 750KB, which can hold at least a 1024x768 photo. Still, it won't accept a photo straight from a typical camera. Our middle-of-the-road 5M pixel Sony camera takes pictures that are typically between 2M-2.3M, so I have to do some size modification before I post them. I decided to buy a batch image modification program (EasyBatchPhoto for Mac, $24) rather than doing them one at a time. It lets you define/save a size of image you want, then you drag your photos into it, and the right size images pop out. I have set it to 1024x768, 72dpi, as computer screens can only disply 72dpi. They look pretty good. Also, I will get back to you on the Upload from URL. I'm close. James
