Default Hello from England

Hello from Manchester,I've finally started construction on my oven after years of
promising myself...

I don't have a plan but will base it on the Pompei oven plans from here.

I'm building a stone base and hope to have a grill installed too.
This is day 2 of the build.

G'day
Sorry it looks like you post got missed.
That looks like a great base. I've never tried to work with rock at all and I certainly like the look. One suggestion that looks like it has no waterproof membrane in its construction especially the wall behind. It might be prudent to include a waterproof membrane under the insulation layer, otherwise...... a wet oven is hard to use.
Regards dave

English,

Fine looking base. Why don't you start the thread in the Pompeli build section. You will get more response there. Look up Bookemdano's thread, he is from the UK and might be able to give you info on material resources in your area.

Hey Franco - That is an impressive base. Something about stone that is special. Interested to follow the progress of your build.
