| I hope to build a pompei oven when the wife permits it! when this happens i would like to know where is the best place in the uk to buy the fire bricks? |

| Hi Do a search on UK firebricks and you'll find the answer !! They can be got from builders merchants but they are expensive. Mine were from an eBay bulk buy by someone on here, and there are alsorts of specialist suppliers across the UK. Prices range from £1 to £4 each, and shipping is a huge cost - these things weigh 4kg each ! There are a good number of UK builders on here - from those that have finished to those that are just starting out. And there is plenty of good advice too ! Cheers Peter |
