Default Tapering of dome bricks

Hello all,
Trying to figure out how to taper the dome bricks so I would not have to use shims. I am building a 42" pompeii and will be laying the soldier course on the cooking floor. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to go about tapering the bricks of the dome?
Thank you.
