| You won't be needing your rolling pin anymore (Vera Pizza Napoletana lovers!) so I recommend using it to tamp down your vermiculite hearth - let the vermiculite cure for 24 - 48 hours and then roll it gently but firmly in one direction, repeating after at 90 degrees. You should find the vermiculite is now nice and smooth with a flatter surface without those annoying little crumbs!
