Thumbs up Neill's prototype oven door

I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post this thread, but it seems the most appropriate.
As I will be baking my first lot of sourdough bread today after a small pizza lunch, I thought that I needed better heat retaining doors on the oven.
I cast some aluminium doors a year ago but haven't got around to insulating them yet.
So yesterday (24 hours before baking) I decided that I'd better do something and if it works, then to apply it to my adjustable existing doors.
I grabbed a scrap piece of 1/2" ply and cut it to shape. I also had a salvaged sheet old expanded metal and cut it with a 2" allowance for folding and securing to the plywood.
I then cut out the corners allowing for a reinforced corner (could weld it if needed), cut out 2 layers of 1" thermal blanket, inserted it into the mesh inserted the plywood back and tacked it into the sides of the ply. A little minor panel beating saw the corners straight and square. Put on a spare grab handle that I had lying around and almost ready.
I will lace the fibreglass sealing strip if needed as the temp door will be pushed up against the existing sealing strip built into the oven door surround.
The door will be held in place with the high tech brick stack, but I did say that it is a prototype!.
