Default Japanese steel blades.

Japanese steel blades.

Ive got a few for the kitchen, watch this vid to see how the best of the steel is made, the sound volume is way too low.
Its a 5 parter.

Al,

Thanks for sharing. The time-consuming ritual of re-folding and realigning of the sword's steel grain really shows up dramatically in the kitchen knives made in Japan. While in Kyoto several years ago I was able to pick up several of these beautiful knives that are a pure joy to use. While the swords and knives have this same unmistakable quality, the shuriken are not far behind!

Ive got 2 knives and an oriental veggie knife all folded stainless from Japan, they are razor sharp even after 2 years of domestic use, I love them.

We have some friends whos trip was put on hold after the tsunami, other mutual friends were dumbfounded that they were going to bring back Japanese knives....
