| I have located enough insulating bricks to install between the vent area and the actual chimney liner. I figure this will prevent or cut down on heat transfer from the landing arches to the upper chimney area. I am going to mortar them in as the last row of the vent area where the chimney flew liner will be placed. A little less heat loss and since I have them, I may as well use them up. |
