| In Australia, (as elsewhere I guess), lettuce boxes are wax-impregnated. Free, compact, and a piece half the size of your hand will kick-start reasonable kindling. We always carry when travelling BUT, if caught short, virgin olive oil, allowed to soak into ordinary (preferably cold-pressed)carton cardboard does a fair (but smokier) job. NB: MUST be virgin oil. hahaha. (I've been known to stretch credibility. Sorry.But there you go eh.) P[l]easant Jeff. |
