Default Fire starters.

In Australia, (as elsewhere I guess), lettuce boxes are wax-impregnated. Free, compact, and a piece half the size of your hand will kick-start reasonable kindling. We always carry when travelling BUT, if caught short,
virgin olive oil, allowed to soak into ordinary (preferably cold-pressed)carton cardboard does a fair (but smokier) job.
NB: MUST be virgin oil. hahaha.
(I've been known to stretch credibility. Sorry. But there you go eh.)
