| Not sure if I posted this correctly so if this is a repeated post I apologize... I have seen vermicrete here but not an answer to this question: does it matter if the vermicrete is expanded or not (expands at 800 C)? I thought it might add more volume to the vermicrete, but I did not know if it would make it harder to work with... |

| I don't know for sure, but I think all vermiculite is expanded: it's heat treated to pop it like popcorn. In it's mineral form, as mined, it's pretty dense, but I don't think you can buy it like that.
