...Yet, as always in a new place, a single thing catches my eye beyond everything else, and the things I notice and like are never quite what you'd expect the guidebooks to rate.

Here in Market Bosworth it's the pizzeria inside the old Dixie Arms Hotel, and in particular the wood-fired Forno Bravo pizza oven, that stopped my gaze. The owners are proud of it, and justifiably so. I'd walk a long way for a traditional Neapolitan stone-baked pizza, and to find one in a small (pop. <2,000) and characterful Leicestershire village is remarkable.
