| We had some friends over for another Pizzafest and as usual everyone made thier own and had a ball doing so. The weather was just brilliant with temps around 30c for the entire evening, which I must admit was a tad too hot for me standing in front of the oven for ages cooking the pizza. ![]() Daves Pizza. | I'm envious of your weather. At least we are headed toward summer on this side of the orb. Looks like a good time.

| We let the guests build them on 10" pans and they are cooked on the pans, it seems less messy that way. Dave did his pizza on a 14" tray and it was taken off after a while and put on the floor to crisp.

| yeh..i actually like it done straight on the floor, seems to add a earthy feel to it, but if you have other people over, they look at you as if your from the long lost tribe of Amazonians that still cook naked (and no....i aint tryin that... ....or will i )The missus is insistant on buying some cast iron plates that she wants to cook on, atleast they will retain the heat in cast iron,(maybe too much) Oh yeh, theres a question, will sandstone cope with the heat from a pan??

I bought some spun pans off ebay, dont buy pressed ones they need to be spun as they have a convex base and are easy to spin in the oven to turn the pizza. Pressed pans are flat and wont spin. Quote:
Having done a lot of gemmology in a previous hobby Id say it was good as of the way sandstone was formed, but get some other advise first.
