| We did a pizza party last night for our daughter and son-in-law and four of their 30ish friends. It was the other's first real introduction to WFO pizza. Started with Margharita (from FBs Pizza Margharita kit) using my freshly made mozz - rave reviews! (Well done James! A great set of ingredients.) Then my homage to conventional American pizzarias - Pepperoni with red sauce, mozz, and parme. Then, oven roasted mushrooms on a white sauce with thyme and a touch of parme. More raves. Grilled asparagus with fontina, serrano ham, and a touch of parme. Not as unanimous as the mushrroms but those that liked it really liked it. Quattro formaggio. Claims of heart attacks followed this one. Caramelized onions, blue cheese and walnuts to close it out. Dessert was impossible pie with home grown straberrries and whipped cream. The wine consumption was enthusiastic - six bottles for the eight of us! The overall favorite though was the margharita! The general comment was that the ones they had had before were insipid and this was simply divine and really showed off he advantages of great dough and a WFO. Salud! Jay |
