Default Cooking for engineers? Solid stuff...

Just baked this pecan-and-chocolate chips pie for a visiting daughter, and it smells delicious!

We'll judge it tomorrow when the young couple stop over on their way home to Sydney.

The reason I ran out of pecans, BTW, is that I kept slipping a nut a day to our lovely brush turkey La Turca every evening ever since the last harvest... I am forbidden to feed the native bird these days, so as to allow her to return to her ways of the bush instead of lolling about with the chickens...

Cheers,

LMH
