Default SMALL wood fired oven

I want someone to make me a small woodfired oven in Indore, India. I dont want a huge one.... Everybody i spoke to says they need space of 5 ft by 5ft. Cant smaller ovens be made?

They need to be 5'x5'???? Maybe they mean the whole dimension of the finished oven, not the oven itself.


Yeah, smaller ovens are made, most of the ones on this forum are 42" and under. Depending on your finishes most ovens that size and under can be kept under 5'x5'

My guess is they meant the rough total footprint of space needed is approx. 5'x5'.

My oven is pretty small. It sits on a supporting slab 3' x 3' and has an internal diam of 21".

I understand they can be built smaller. I think they were speaking in general terms, taking into account clearances, standing room, etc.
