Default My First oven; Tampa Florida

I a total novice mason, and I've just finished the dome and vent and chimney flue; about to begin insulation with Ceramic Fiber Blanket and then vermiculate cement and then stucco...and I hope to ultimately get to a mosaic with glass and pottery shards. It's a 30" diameter dome, 18" high, with a 12 1/2" X 18 1/2" entrance.

The dome was a problem...it got out of hand as the styrofoam form I made was not properly secured and it also bent under weight! The transition between the entry and the dome was also a problem...I simply plunged ahead, by trial and error....it's solid but out of round near the top...very NON-Euclidean geometry! I had built an " Indispensible tool" from a 3" castor bearing and a 24" bar cclamp, but the clamp would not lift cleanly off a set brick, so I switched to the styrofoam form. See the pics below, of the form and the oven.
