Default The First Pizza!

Here is a photo of the first pizza out of our oven!

This is a hallmark to make it to this point in the process, to have come up with the idea, do the research, find Forno Bravo, plan and build an oven, and then produce great food,,, Pizza from a WFO...

Following a receipt from another on this forum, we produced five dinner pizza's, all with red sauce and a variety of toppings (vegetables, meats, and cheeses), and the final pizza was the 'chocolate and marshmallow' desert pizza (photo attached...). With an adult audience, mixed opinions on the resulting desert pizza...

I look forward to developing some skill at attaining and keeping pizza temperatures in the oven, but in the mean time, will spend a little more time cooking and will be satisfied with these results.

Thanks to all for the information provided through Forno Bravo who helped with this project..

Congratulations! Your oven will continue to dry out and will get hot easier as it does.

Thumbs up Re: The First Pizza!

And you thought that building the oven was fun.
Well, now the real fun starts (with a few occassional dissapointments) when you start making and playing with different receipes and food types.

Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone,

The pizza's were great, and we had a great time putting the event together.

I have a list about a full page long of people I've committed to invite over for pizza, so we are looking forward to many pizza events this summer, experimenting with different receipts, and putting the finishing touches on the oven (we might be cooking but the work isn't done!).

This is the second pizza to come out of the oven, and it was good also!
