Casa oven in San Diego - Forno Bravo Forum: The Wood-Fired Oven Community

Here is a nice wall oven in San Diego where they did a good job of fitting an oven into a relatively tight space. Very good stonework from a UK-trained mason working in SoCal. He's ready to install more ovens!

hi, I also live in the San Diego area and I am researching my options with the different type of wood burning ovens. I would like a recommendation with regards to the specific type of oven to installl and also a mason to build it. I have an existing fireplace in our backyard and I think the best place for the oven is right next to it. Based on my preliminary information, I think the refractory type oven will work best for us as it has a shorter heat up time. Any thoughts and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
