| Hi Dave.............nettles are any one of a number of stinging plants that have fine hairs under the leaf and on the stem. These hairs release formic acid when touched sometimes causing a nasty rash. Believe it or not there is an annual nettle eating contest in Bridport UK. Dandelions are another useful 'weed'. Mainly as salad greens but can be used to make wine. The UK has a soft drink called Dandelion and Burdock (a type of thistle)............. |

| You're not being serious are you? Nettles taste ok, bit like spinach, but I wouldn't want to eat them all on their own. Got a lot of iron in them though, and their supposed to be very good for you (how off puting is that then?) |
