| Hi Folks, I poured my vermiculite insulation hearth today. I mixed the vermiculite with the cement 5:1 then added water to what i thought was an oatmeal like consistency. After pouring it i felt that it was perhaps too dry and that i didnt add enough water. However, after having another look at the pics in the plans im not too sure. I've uploaded a couple of photos. Any comments would be greatly appreciated ![]() Cheers Ross |

| Nice one, thanks T! First time i've mixed it so wasnt sure what it should look like. Was also a bit weird to work with. Looking forward to getting a start on the dome and floor. Thanks for the help ![]() Cheers Ross |

| Everyone thinks vermiculite concrete is weird to work with the first time.
