Hi all, There are 300 odd firebricks for sale on Aussie eBay which are not far up the road from me. Here is the link: Fire Bricks pottery kiln or other uses - eBay, Other Building Materials, Building Materials, DIY, Home. (end time 15-Oct-09 11:38:57 AEDST) Is there any reason why these wouldn't suffice for my upcoming oven build? Thanks, Paul

Are you sure they are fire bricks? They look as they have a few red ones in there. Could have come out of a fireplace? If they are solids they may do

Well no, I'm not sure at all, though I assume they are, it sounds like they might be out of a kiln or something. Don't know what the red ones are.

You need dense firebricks (heavy) not insulating firebricks (light)
