My name is Kathy and my husband and I (we are from Michigan) are in the process of building an outdoor fireplace...not for cooking, just for enjoyment. I have pictures but I'm not sure I can post yet. Until then, I'll just continue chatting

I'll be doing one as well. I'm using an insert that I got as a damaged closeout instead of brick, however. Good luck. There's no doubt you'll enjoy it immensely when completed.

Welcome to the WFO forum (wood fired oven). We generally have an appreciation for anything wood fired, and construction projects are all the rage here!
