| Dear all, What would be the advantages and/or disadvantages of using 8X16 cement blocks for the support structure at compared to bricks or large landscaping bricks? We would like to use bricks to finish the support structure (over the cement blocks) anyway. Why not just build it from bricks from the beginning? Any ideas are appreciated. We are waiting to start foundation work when the snow goes away and the ground unfreezes. Regards, Alec |

| IF your plan is to finish with bricks, then just use brick for the support structure. People use CMU (concrete block) because it is cheaper and faster to assemble than brick. |
