| Bobosein, There is a book about building clay, or cob ovens. I don't recall the name of the book now, but it should be available at your library. Most of the ovens we end up talking about on this form are built with fire brick, although there are some great exceptions to this rule. This oven is a recent addition and demonstrates that other materials will work just fine. http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/f21/...peii-6637.html (Adobe Pompeii) And if you want to build a firebrick oven, here is the link to the free book on this web page that will instruct you on the details to build a firebrick oven. http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/f8/p...load-1674.html (Pompeii Plans Ready for Download) Good luck with your build!
