| My lovely wife bought me a FB wooden peel for my Birthday (thank you!) ![]() Is there anything I need to do to get it to function optimally? It's fairly smooth, but not ultra smooth. Should I sand it, or does that make a difference? I have no experience with a WFO yet, but what keeps it from bursting into flames when I stick it into a 900 F oven?

Keep one side for pizza building. The bottom will tend to get a bit dirty from the oven floor.
