| Greetings fellow woofers... Has anyone in the uk managed to find out where to get some decent apple wood? I'm thinking of heading up to Herefordshire (great cider country) and seeing if they fell their trees now and then and what they do with the wood. Anyone else tried this tack? P de D |

| When I lived in Michigan this was how we got a lot of our wood for smoker. As I recall - they orchard we knew marked the trees they wanted to take down - dead dying or diseased during harvest time - and circled back in the slow winter months to take them down and replant. Good luck - I love the smell of apple wood smoke - I should try and find some here - maybe in the mountains! Christo

| I would think that Somerset (also great cider country) might be worth a look. I know a couple of folks that used to be down there. I will try and contact them and see if they have any ideas. Travis n'Texas |
