Unhappy pre-enclosurer blues

With the oven completed and a few curing burns behind me I foresee a problem when I go to do the final enclosure. While burning even though much of the smoke went up the stack enough came out to quickly discolor the facing. Since I plan to put up backer board and stucco it white I'm not sure where I might have gone wrong

That might mean your flue is too small. There's some threads talking about that somewhere in the forum. Good luck.

RUnut,

It may also mean your chimney is not tall enough for a good draw. Add another 12" to 24" and see if it improves.
