He was selling ovens and promoting his commercial business, something clearly (and obviously) not allowed.

Our admin have written to him explaining why.

Missed that one. I also respected his comments and help on the forums. I guess I missed where he was competing with Forno Bravo. I do understand why that is not allowed.

Did you guys give him advance notice to stop the promotion of his business on this site and give him a chance to stop?

Any way your house, your rules and I can respect that. Thanks for this forum where we can all learn and share our experiences.

whilst you can understand the no competition rule I am not sure ultimately its a good idea.

FB is the goto place for information now really, a worldwide resource but is not a worldwide seller so there will always be people on the look out for local traders or just good old fashioned advice.

active hawking is one thing so I would expect mods to edit any "adverts" but mentioning you are also sell these things only really strengthens the advice given from that user and ultimately benefits the FB forum and FB as a brand.

Great points and I do agree with you totally.

There is one thing to remember here it's FB's house and FB's rules. To me this is not an unreasonable request.
