 I knew it would burn. I knew it would burn. I lasered the oven floor before putting in the bread and it was 300c, so I put the loaves onto some large pizza trays to temper the heat a bit. Wrong.....  Ive now got the oven all closed up so it can equalise out a bit, and Ill try again. Charcoal anyone?

| Re: I knew it would burn. Try making baguettes and put them in first when the oven is fairly hot. Because they are thin the heat gets into the centre more easily. But be careful they may take only around 10 mins.Then you can put in your larger loaves. |

| Re: I knew it would burn. Me too, I suggested one to her in doors but she said everyone will be busy this side of Christmas. I know where there will be one this Sat in Sunbury if you want, you can go and extol the virtues of the oven builder.....
