thanks for the tips Nic. I did the Stolit 1.5 saturday, used a steel float and a drywall knife to apply it and then worked it with a hard plastic float. It turned out great, and really didn't take very much time to finish... more worry than work... did pizzas for the third time Saturday nite, only one burnt offering, and no burned bottoms.. i do need to work on my dough recipe to get more of a thin cracker crust...

look at my build I used 2 coats of STO with sand in it with a steel trowel and i made a texure look...

same color as mine... i did one coat and think i'm good for the winter, i have more than enough in the bucket for a second coat and will probably apply it next spring.

I wasn't going to post any pics till i was done, but... i went to the Newbie forum, uploading pictures, and have tried a half a dozen times to upload a couple of shots i took last night. can't get it to work. i'll do a little more reasearch, try again, or just get my IT guy in here to help me figure this out....
