Size of Angle Iron for Base
Looking to build an outdoor oven and have a question about the type and size of steel used for the Overn base to hold the top course of blocks. It suggests 2x2 angle iron. Is it galavanized? How thick should it be to hold the weight?
1/4" is fine and it doesn't need to be galvanized. Paint it with some Rustoleum and it's good to go (it usually gets another coating of something else when you finish the walls too).
