| I plan on using a combination of stone and stucco. I have flagstone for the base and some decorative trim. I've never attempted stucco myself but I thought I would give it a try. Maybe there is an easier alternative? Thanks, Ryan |

| Ladies and Gentlemen...We have fire! I was able to finish putting up the cement board. I will mud and tape next week. I lit the first fire today of 1 newspaper. I couldn't find my camera so the photos from the phone will have to do. Enjoy! Have a Great Weekend All! Ryan |

| Ryan, when I opened a pic, it was only about three times as large as the thumbnail. Try a little less reduction. Makes it easier for my tired eyes to enjoy.

| I think it's because he is using his camera phone. My wife had taken a bunch of photos of our son on her new phone, but when I downloaded them they were 640x480. The phone had defaulted to the smallest size instead of the bigger 2 MP mode. If it's an older phone, 640x480 may be the max. |

| I could see enough to be able to say it looks great! Congrats too on your first fire - that first pizza shouldn't be too far behind it. |

| Thanks everyone. The first Pizza will be sometime this weekend. I will be sure to send photos. I was thinking about doing a live roof. Has anyone tried this? I found this website and I like the idea. Here is the link. My roof is only 70'' X 72''. LiveRoof Green Roof System. Ryan |

| I only did a quick scan of the site but didn't see a pic of an actual roof. I think I've seen them though. Pretty cool idea. I love the look of homes built into the ground with sod roofs etc. Make sure you insulate the heck out of your oven. 100 degrees F of heat (thats what mine reads on the outside after 6 hours) over several hours may have detrimental effects on you living roof.

| The pioneering pompeii builder Paulages built a planted soil roof on his oven (pompeii oven construction began today): Last edited by dmun; 04-29-2008 at 03:32 AM. Reason: image format |
