Pompei Oven exterior paint?
Anyone ever consider using "Dry Lock" paint on the exterior dome?
Dry Lock is sold at Home Depot and its used for swimming pools and water fountains because of its water resistant quality. I used finished colored stucco on mines and so far no water has penetrated the inner dome since it has been really raining here in the SF Bay Area. But, the color of the stucco I used seemed to have faded somewhat. So I am a little concerned not only for esthetics but if water will make its way in sooner or later.
Another tid bit, the exterior "outer dome" seems to not get hot at all maybe warm like someone's cheek after 5 hours of continued burning. So I believe its well insulated but will the paint be affected in the long run? I was thinking some kind of water seal for the outer dome but was worried about any fumes later on if I get it too hot.
Any responses appreciated!
