Gotta be happy with that finish Damon - smooth as a babies bottom.
I would like to get the same colouring as you but cant see this happening with the crimson plasterers sand. Did you use orange brickies sand on final coat?

Default Rendered and ready to go

Big weekend. Three render coats done , so far no cracks, and oven is ready to fire up.
Went with lots of white cement and orange brickies sand (with some coarse plasters sand) in finish render to get desired stone colouring. Thanks to all for advice along the way. See pics.

Steve........looks a good finish - you picked a great weekend.....sunniest one in a long time

yeah I used Diggers brand oxide (sandstone colour)... I used red washed sand, so as a result I had to put a fair bit of colour in

Steve, did you ever finish the oven? Looks like things went quiet on this since July.
