| Just a few pictures of the finished form for the oven floor insulating layer. I was happy with how it turned out!

| The perlcrete pour... At least part of it....... I also squeezed the mix to make sure the ratio was right. The water just barely came out with hard squeezing. Note: What I poured was pretty hard about 8 hours later. Of course it still has some give with a fingertip. I did remember to mix the cement and perlite together before adding water. 5 parts perlite to 1 part cement.

| Looks great Dave. For interest, what did you use for the round edge of the form? |

| No dome for me this week. I have to wait on the delivery of more perlite. I can't get the stuff in my town....

3/16 of an inch thick. I bought it in a 4 ft by 8 ft sheet, and then ripped it down with my circular saw into 4 inch rips. It bends easy, and works great for curves.

| Dave! this is progressing nicely. Are you going to "embed" the hearth in the perlite or rest them on top? im getting some good ideas from you. Thanks for posting, you are moving at a great rate.
