Default thermometers

What type of thermometer would be good to install in an oven? I currently have one that has a 4 foot probe and is 3/8 inch diameter. I am not sure how this could be installed? I am also wondering the best place and is drilling through brick to put it in a wise move? I have heard infrared isnt very accurate.

Im not sure exactly what type of probe you have and what system it works with. But it sounds a little overkill. The least costly way is to buy a electronic meter at sears that can be used for temperature as well as testing circuits. Then with the proper wire twisted together and set under your floor, your in business, for I think about fifty dollars U.S.
