| Hi Dean, Thanks for the reply. I have got the oven burning beautifully now. It took some time and knowledge, but it's working like a treat. We had a pizza party on Christmas day and made around 30 pizzas over a 4hr period no problems. I think my main problem was not burning seasoned timber which makes for a lot less ferocious fire. My oven design is called a barrel vault, they take a little longer to heat but the result is identical. 100mm of shiralite sounds like a lot but as they say you can't over insulate. All in all, I'm wrapped with the results, it's just a matter of learning. I'd love to hear how yours works out, keep me posted. P.S. where are you from? |
