I'm placing my oven on its own, so the footprint would be oven only, but a leaning tower of pizza is exactly my fear. Large patios properly done are pretty stable but they're meant to tilt for drainage anyway so a little more or less tilt is tolerated. I think the smaller footprint of the oven, with uniform weight distribution over the foundation, makes it pretty safe but I'm still not 100% confident. Yet I've seen no projects where people have dug frostline footers (other than my small, functional but not properly built oven at my previous home). |
