Long time lurker, first time poster. I am living in Gainesville Florida and just broke ground on the start of my oven yesterday.
I have had conflicting info on what I should use under my foundation from the locals. I know the oven plans suggest pea gravel, but my soil is very sandy. Some people I have suggested I use sand as a substitute to keep the slab in place and supported.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions from the forum.
