Oven Render Cracking?

I have noticed some cracking appearing on the rendering on the outside of my oven. Is there a quick/efficient way to resurface this and not have it crack again?

I was also thinking of applying mosaic to the front face of the oven. What process does one need to apply the mosaic tiles so that they won't fall off when there is some heat radiating from the oven?

Re: Oven Render Cracking?

You can use an acrylic product, one that has good elasticity, to paint several layers over the cracks. Alternatively give it another coat of render that has a higher proportion of lime in it. Lime is slightly elastic, did you have any in your render mix when you put the original on? Each subsequent coat should contain a higher proportion of lime.
